Personally this thing looks hideous but it's a pretty versatile machine. It's seen multiple incarnations. It's currently carrying the Derailment Response Unit. Not sure what all is in here, but there is something with a motor on it - could just be a generator for the lights. The Derailment repsonse unit used to be trailer mounted before it was put on here. This unit was used quite a bit during the delivery of the SD160s to move the rail cars down to the unloading faclity near Cromdale.
